Install Windows XP on HP Pavilion dv7-1132nr

1. Use Nlite to sliptream AMD sata driver.

2. Note: do NOT use sata driver from that guide, your AMD sata driver is given below, the guide show how to slipstream in other model.

Compaq CQ40-421TU Windows XP Driver

This driver still in testing purpose, if you download and install this software, I hope you can report back which driver didn't work.

First install:
MS-UAA (before IDT audio, model and ATI HDMI drivers), here

Go to device manager, right click unknown device,

Choose to update driver, No to connect,

Choose install from a list or specific location, Don't search, Have disk,

Browse to the location of machine.inf.

Do it for the rest of unknown devices

Compaq Presario F733AU Drivers Windows XP

Audio Driver:
Install UAA first

Microsoft UAA Driver link:

Install and restart, then install the audio driver by following the method below:

Audio Driver:

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp34001-34500/sp34200.exe

After download double click adn it will create a swsetup folder in C drive ("C:\swsetup\sp34200")

Installing this driver may result in an error. But continue with the following steps to get the audio driver installed correctly.

1. Click on Start and select Run. Now type devmgmt.msc and press enter.

2. Right click on "Audio device on High Definition Audio Bus" and click Update driver.

3. Select "Install from a list or specific location"

4. Click Next. Then select "Don't search, I will choose the driver to install".

5. Click Next and then select "Sound, video and game controller" from the list.

6. Click Next and then click Have Disk.
7. Click Browse C:\swsetup\sp34200 folder and select the .inf (wis30b2a) file and click open and Continue with the onscreen instructions.

Modem Driver:

This will create a swsetup folder in C drive ("C:\swsetup\sp33742")

Installing this driver may result in an error. But continue with the following steps to get the

Install windows XP in compaq presario cq40-337tu

Update Your Bios here. There are big changes in this new version.
